Chelsea have reportedly had a bid rejected by Nottingham Forest for Brazilian defender Murillo early in the transfer window.

The Blues are looking to bolster their defence in January after Wesley Fofana suffered a serious injury which has left them with problems at the back.

Enzo Maresca has finally recalled Trevoh Chalobah เว็บพนันออนไลน์ UFABET สมัครง่าย โปรโมชั่นมากมาย from his loan spell at Crystal Palace after a bid for Murillo was reportedly rejected.

Forest have rejected a club-record bid for the defender, according to The Telegraph.

Murillo then signed a new, high-paying contract, committing his future to Forest, having made 59 appearances for the club.

The 22-year-old defender has been one of Forest’s standout performers in a sensational league campaign that has them challenging for a top-four finish.

Despite Chelsea’s desire to strengthen their defence, the club released both Axel Disasi and Ben Chilwell towards the end of the window.

Murillo may well be someone Chelsea end up looking at again in the summer, as Enzo Maresca’s side is arguably in need of another top defensive signing.

It’s easy to see Murillo being an upgrade on slightly unconvincing performers like Benoit Badiashile and Tosin Adarabioyo, while even Levi Colwill hasn’t been quite at his best in recent games.

Liverpool are also keen on Murillo, as sources recently told Ufabet, so that could be one to watch as he’d make an ideal long-term replacement for the ageing Virgil van Dijk, who is also nearing the end of his contract at Anfield.
